Welccome Message

On behalf of myself and my colleagues, I welcome you all to the official webpage of the Directorate of Academic Planning and Monitoring (DAPM), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria - Nigeria. The Directorate operates in line with the University’s vision and commitment to ensure effective coordination, streamlining, monitoring and evaluation of all Academic Development Processes. The Directorate which is under the office of the Vice-Chancellor serves as a focal point of liaison with relevant government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDA’s) with regard to institutional and national policies on higher education. The Directorate has three units namely; Planning & Statistics, Quality Assurance and Affiliation.

The Directorate assists and advises the Vice-Chancellor on matters relating to the Academic Planning, Quality Assurance and Affiliation. For the purposes of Academic Planning, Quality Assurance and Affiliation, it liaises with other Units of the University to ensure effective and smooth operations. The Directorate also coordinates preparation and revision of important policy documents of the University such as the Academic Brief, Strategic Plan, Quality Assurance Policy, Teaching and Learning Policy, Affiliation Policy, etc. I call on you to join hands with us to assure quality of our services and that of our graduates.
